Same here. If I remember right, we worked so hard to make sure that the ETEEAP for police officers would be realized under the administration of PDG JESUS A VERZOSA in partnership with REV FR ROMEO B GONZALES, MS, PH. D. , President, University of La Salette.

What is ETEEAP?

The Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) is a comprehensive educational assessment program which recognizes knowledge, skills, attitudes and values obtained by individuals from formal, non-formal and informal education and training and related work experiences.
By establishing equivalency competence standards and a comprehensive assessment system employing written test, interview, skills demonstration and other creative assessment methodologies, deputized higher education institutions may administer competency-based evaluation.
A Panel of Assessors is convened to determine the candidate’s knowledge, skills, attitudes and values relevant to a particular discipline, and the appropriate, convenient competency enhancement program. The candidate consequently earns the equivalent credits and the appropriate certificate or degree awarded by the deputized higher education institution.

Who can avail of the ETEEAP?

a) Any Filipino who is, at least a high school graduate or who has obtained a PEPT placement equivalent to first year college;
b) He / she must have been employed for an aggregate of at least 5 years in the field or industry related to the academic program or discipline he/she is obtaining an equivalency;
c) He / she must be at least 22 years old; and
d) He / she must be able to show evidence of capability and thorough knowledge in the field applied for equivalency and accreditation.

What are the documents required for application?

a) authenticated birth certificate
b) service record
c) most recent academic record
d) certificates of training and workshops completed
e) certificates of individual proficiency in the discipline or field of interest
f) other documents or evidence of capability and knowledge in the field applied for equivalency and accreditation
g) accomplished ETEEAP application form

What steps does an interested applicant take for equivalency and accreditation?

1. The applicant submits his/her documents to the CHED-deputized higher education institution. The HEI will verify all the claims of the applicant.
2. If an applicant is qualified for admission, he/she proceeds to undergo the process of assessment and accreditation.
3. The candidate will be accredited by the HEI according to any or all of the following criteria:
a) For formal learning - through credit transfer;
b) For non-formal education (sponsored training, workshops, etc.) through case to case evaluation of training design and evaluation;
c) For informal learning / knowledge obtained through self-study, work experience, etc. – an assessment process which can include any of the following: written and oral examinations, product presentation, skills demonstration, or portfolio assessment;
d) Portfolio assessment – the candidate is required to organize the claims of learning according to the areas of standard competencies laid out for the program or field of interest. Once the portfolio is ready for presentation, this is submitted to the portfolio assessors who will evaluate the portfolio and recommend the credits to be given, in which competencies, how much, etc.
4. In cases where the candidate needs further knowledge or skills, he /she will be advised to participate in appropriate and convenient competency enhancement service programs in order to complete his/her learning, then go back for assessment. Competency enhancement programs are continuing education programs that allow non-traditional learners to pursue learning through means that adapt to their learning style and circumstances in life.
5. In this manner, the candidate earns credits progressively until he/she has satisfactorily earned the necessary credits based on the competency standard to merit the degree.
6. Candidates will be required to pay the cost of the assessment program.

For Applying Higher Education Institution (HEI)

• Deputization Flow Chart
• Implementing Guidelines for Deputation of an HEI
• Pre-application Qualification for HEI Applying as ETEEAP Implementor
• Revised Evaluation Instrument

For Individual Application

• ETEEAP Assessment Procedures
• ETEEAP Application Form
• List of HEIs

I have been informed that ETEEAP in crame was discontinued. If yes, is there a possibility it would return or be done in other agencies that is located here in manila? Also, Are there BS Crim ETEEAP offered here in Metro Manila?

I would appreciate any reply

Thank you
