Can you consider a criminologist a Certified Security Professional? or can you certify someone as CSP by mere being a licensed criminologist? if not, what curriculum under your program should one have to undergo to be qualified?

Sir Rheyven, maybe you should inform us some more about this...saan ang ofc ng PSIS, may mga regional offices ba? anong experience ang kailangan bago ka ma certify? ano ang proseso kung gusto ko mag pa certify?  :)

certified security professional (CSP) is another certification just like what i said it is run by non goverment organization and we as a member we pay our monthly dues most of the person member of this organization is a professional in different categories they are in the security business in government and non government sector (private and public sector) before they join in the organization  because they want to have a more connection to be recognize or to be known by other sector the moder world is networking. just like our organization the PCAP but pcap is doing nothing actualy pcap should be the one doing this kind of certification because we are recognize by the PRc BUT pcap is more on convention (talking and talking). we need to work together to pormulate activities that can be frofitable for us as a member may be some one can help me: u want to became a CSP ok.

If I may add. In addition to the CSP which is accredited by the PSIS, we can also joined the Campus Security Management Professional (CSMP). The accreditation is granted by the Group primarily responsible in campus security. Mr Rico de Guzman is the President of the Association and he is connected with Lourdes School in Mandaluyong City as campus security manager. The training, however is not regularly schedule unlike the PSIS which has a monthly trainng schedule. This is a great opportunity for those who want to concentrate in industrial security aspect of the Criminology profession.
SAGD,PNP is coming uo with a study to professionalize the indusrial security by way of specialization. That is we can choose which field to concentrate, i.e. hotel security, retail security,  industrial estate security, housing subdivision and condominium security, etc.
PSIS is regularly meeting in Bayview Hotel every last Saturday of the month jived with the graduation of newly graduates of CSP conducted during the period. Attendance fee is P350.00 to cover the venue and snack.
