It is starting now to be some kind of identification ... at work ... we use our pointer finger to clock in and out off work , or getting narcotics off a "drug machine" we call Pyxis  :)

I've seen once in Macgyver how to copy and paste a fingerprint. So I guess they can be made to lie. ;D

it is a unique structure in every individual. Galing!!! imagine how many million people, but none matches mine nor yours. they (prints) will definitely not lie unless there's anomaly...

remember friends... when we talk about fingerprint.. if you remember the saying...fingerprint is unique. there are  NO TWO PERSON HAVING THE SAME PATTERN OF PINGERPRINTS WITH RESPECT TO THEIR INDIVIDUAL CHARACTERISTICS...EVEN THEY ARE IDENTICAL TWIN.

PROBABLY THEY HAVE THE SAME WHORL, LOOP AND ARCH, BUT NOT TO THE INDIVIDUAL CHAR.

The latest use of fingerprints as a science for personal identification is now what we call BIOMETRIC. You use your fingerprints to allow you to access certain restricted areas of any establishment. You use you fingerprints as a proof of you daily time records. Many countries as a measure against terrorism will not grant you their visa if you refuse to be fingerprinted. Lastly, to maximize worldwide use of fingerprint records, we now have the AFIS databank.

alam ko no two person has the same finger print but maybe identical in type or pattern.. pero kung susuriin maigi hindi magkakatulad kasi iba iba ang mga ridge count ng every human finger... sabi nga finger print is a "CONCLUSIVE EVIDENCE".

Always REMEMBER the three(3) Principles of F.P.

Principle of INDIVIDUALITY- there are no two F.P. are the same.
Principle of PERMANENCY- means the F.P is permanent.
Principle of INFALLIBILITY- means the F.P. cannot be wrong.

Folks:

I work for a law firm and we are currently acting as private prosecutor in a Robbery with Homicide case. Evidence is spotty. One of the evidence we have is a Dactyloscopy result made by SOCO. But SOCO was not able to make a definitive finding because the latent prints lifted from the crime scene are smudged.

Do you know a local dactyloscopy expert who can help us enhance the latent prints and make a conclusive finding that the latent prints belong to the accused?

We appreciate your help. Thanks.

Hi Guys! Hope you can help me...Im also looking for a private fingerprint examiner..I have no leads so far, it's kind of hard to find one here in the Philippines. Most kasi are from the government..eh it takes a long time to engage them, not to mention a long procedure...
We need one for a case as well...pang expert witness ba.. keeping my fingers crossed!
